Andriei Gutierrez is a government relations executive focused on building a plan for a more digital and less unequal Nation.
Ph.D in Political Science (Unicamp) and Sociology (Université de Provence), he has worked for over 15 years in the private sector and academia in the fields of social science, technology, mining, and capital goods. He joined IBM in June 2015 as Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs Manager and has since been one of its key speakers on Privacy and Personal Data Protection issues in Brazil. In his professional career, he also worked at VALE SA and the Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment (ABIMAQ) in positions related to corporate affairs and institutional relations. He was a researcher at Unicamp for about 10 years in the field of political science.
Andriei also holds leadership positions in the information technology industry. He is the leader of the Regulatory Committee of the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES). At the Brazilian Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies (BRASSCOM), he leads the Working Group on Digital Policy and Innovation. Andriei is one of the creators and coordinator of the movement ‘Brasil, País Digital’, a multi-sector initiative led by ABES focused on stimulating the digital transformation of Brazil – www.brasilpaisdigital.com.br.
Andriei is married and the father of two girls.
